Earlier in the year, as part of our Club Grants Scheme, Murwillumbah Services Club funded the installation of a brand new solar power converter & solar panels to the Burringbar School of Arts.
Being 120 years old, this heritage hall is one of the Shire’s last historical gems, & has over the years has held many community based activities & functions, including the classic Annual Country Ball.
The hall also regularly holds fundraising events, was a distribution center for donated goods & provided meals to the needy & Military support workers during the recent devastating floods.
The hall also holds regular exercise, yoga, self-defense, meditation, dance & art classes. The hall’s expansive & recently renovated commercial kitchen is also available to be hired out for cooking classes & functions, with it providing the opportunity for small local startups to get on their feet.
MSMC is proud to support such a beautiful community gem & its dedicated & welcoming committee. We hope to help keep this local treasure around for many more generations to enjoy.
